The Mark and Mimi Ross Scholarship for Military Mountaineers was established to provide financial assistance to student veterans to attend Appalachian State University. This scholarship program awards one $5000 scholarship per year based on the eligibility criteria below.
Eligibility:
- veteran must be honorably discharged from any U.S. Armed Service and must provide proof of discharge status
- veteran must be an undergraduate student who possesses a minimum 2.0 GPA
- veteran must demostrate a need for financial assistance (tuition and fees and/or room and board)
- preference given to North Carolina residents
