At Appalachian State University, internships provide students with meaningful professional experience supporting a future career field or interest area. Internships through Student Veteran Services are designed for academic credit and offer hands-on opportunities in student engagement, programming, assessment, and wellness initiatives related to veterans, active-duty members, National Guard and Reservists, spouses, and children of military members.

All internships are unpaid and intended to align with students’ academic and professional goals while contributing to the mission of supporting veterans, service members, and military-connected students at Appalachian State University. While preferred majors are listed, we are open to any student who has an interest in a position.
