Heroes Week at Appalachian State University is an annual tradition dedicated to honoring the service, sacrifice, and contributions of veterans, active duty service members, military families, and the broader military-connected community surrounding Veteran's Day. Through a week of celebratory and honorary events, Heroes Week brings together students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners to recognize military service while fostering connection, reflection, and appreciation across campus. This observance reflects Appalachian State’s ongoing commitment to supporting military-affiliated students and celebrating the values of service, leadership, and resilience that strengthen the Mountaineer community year after year.
