The Appalachian Warrior Fund Scholarship is a needs-based scholarship that honors veterans and their families. It will award at least one $1000 scholarship annually to any eligible, honorably discharged and disabled veteran or child of a disabled veteran who has been admitted and enrolled at Appalachian State University. The total number of annual award distributions will be based on the availability of funds.
Eligibility:
- veterans must have a 10-50% disability rating awarded by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
- veterans must pocess a minimum 2.8 GPA, children must pocess a minimum 3.0 GPA
- veterans and children must be North Carolina residents
- veterans must provide proof of discharge status and disability rating
