Personalized Career Counseling
The Student Veteran Resource Center partners with the Career Development Center to offer student veterans personalized career counseling. Geralyn Mitchell, our career coach liason for Student Veteran Services, assists student veterans with revising/building resumes, writing cover letters, and preparing for job interviews. She also assists students with building professional LinkedIn profiles. The Career Development Center has also created a Resource Page for student veterans.
Military Academic Advising
The University College Academic Advising Center has a designated liason for military-affiliated students. The Advising Center will be able provide advice with credits, class choices, degree requirements, and graduation requirements.

Campus Partnership Programming
Student Veteran Service regularly partners with other offices on campus to offer student veterans a wide array of specialized services as well as to spread awareness of veteran issues and needs across campus.

Veteran and Military Orientation
The Office of Student Veteran Services hosts a Military Student Breakout Session during every Transfer Orientation. The breakout session is designed to provide our incoming Military Mountaineers with a warm welcome and introduction to the many advocates they have on campus.
