Tuesday, November 11
Veterans Day Ceremony
9:00 a.m. | B.B. Dougherty Administration Building
A reception will follow immediately after the ceremony.
Veterans Day Faculty & Staff Luncheon
11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. | McKinney Alumni Center
Faculty and staff veterans are invited to drop by for lunch and fellowship.
Pint Night at Appalachian Mountain Brewery
6:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m. | Appalachian Mountain Brewery
$1 from every beer sold will be donated in support of Student Veteran Services.

Military Family Appreciation Night at Hickory
6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | City Walk Brewing, Hickory, NC
Join fellow student veterans for an evening of community and conversation.
Thursday, November 13
Student Veteran Resource Center Open House
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Plemmons Student Union Suite 251
Stop by the Student Veteran Resource Center to connect with fellow student veterans, meet our staff, and learn more about the services and programs available to support you. Enjoy light refreshments, explore the space, and discover how the SVRC can be your home on campus.
Veteran Yoga Night
4:00 – 5:00 p.m. | High Country Yoga, Boone, NC
Join us for a free warm flow yoga class designed exclusively for student veterans a chance to relax, recharge, and connect with fellow Mountaineers.

Pickleball Night
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. | Summit Pickleball in Boone, NC
Join us for an evening of friendly competition and fun on the courts! All skill levels are welcome whether you’re a seasoned player or trying pickleball for the first time. Equipment will be provided, so just bring your energy and get ready to play!

Military Mountaineer Homecoming
6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Leon Levine Hall Atrium
Join us for an evening of fellowship, connection, and celebration. The event will feature a silent auction benefiting the Continuing the Mission Fund, supporting Appalachian’s student veterans and military-connected community.

Heroes Day Tailgate
Starts at 11:30 a.m. | McKinney Alumni Center
Heroes Day Tailgate, presented by the Military Affairs Committee, will be packed with all the gameday essentials, followed by the football game at The Rock. So get out your black and gold, and get ready to be a part of a fun and memorable weekend in the High Country.
