Bill holds an Associate Degree in General Education from Gasdsen State Community College and a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice from Lees McRae College (summa cum laude).  Anita has served in various leadership roles throughout her military and civilian law enforcement career and received numerous awards and honors. Anita attended Catawba College and holds a Bachelor's Business Administration (summa cum laude) and a Paralegal Certificate from University of North Carolina Charlotte.  Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, she worked in a corporate law office after transitioning her career from law enforcement.

Bill and Anita have been married for over 21 years and have four boys.  Three of the four boys also served our country.
